I have to admit I’ve been pretty slack with the Blog entries of late. I have a lot of catching up to do still (Xmas/NewYear’s entries are still in the works), but I guess I’ll have plenty of time on my hands now that I am, as of today, unemployed.
In some ways the “quick meeting” we were all called into with Dom this morning and the end result weren’t all that much of a surprise. I mean I’ve been thinking to myself for a while now that the money we have been piling into cost-per-click advertising through Google hasn’t really been met by the money coming in from product sales.
Dom’s a pretty sharp businessman. He did what he had to do. He identified the cancerous cell in his string of business ventures and he cut it out. While that doesn’t bode well for me or Jordan, it does give us both the opportunity to move onto something bigger, better and more generously paid. We both have a few options to pursue in the coming couple of weeks for which we have already been compensated for, and we also have a few freelance ventures to develop going forward.
For the time being, however, we both quickly identified the hidden gem in this position which is the freeing up of valuable weekday time to go snowboarding. Less crowds, less lift line-up time! You little ripper!!!
PS. Aaron if you’re reading this, your corporate branding stuff is A1 priority at the moment. I’ll be in touch on the weekend with some artwork for you hopefully.
