This post today is a bit of an audio-visual feast featuring a few YouTube videos that I have come across over the first few days thanks to a variety of sources. They don’t exactly all match up in theme or subject matter (except maybe the percussion element in the first two), but one thing that does ring true throughout them all – the performers/composers/editors are seriously clever people.
Jono Callow Didgeridoo and Drum Demo
This first offering features a young Aussie bloke named John Callow who has an extraordinary gift for… well… multi tasking. I used to play the kit myself for a few years and therefore know how challenging it is to make your four limbs work independently let alone pumping out a haunting tune on the didgeridoo at the same time!
Amateur – Lasse Gjertsen
Next is another musical offering (well they all are actually) titled “Amateur” that is a great example of someone who has WAY too much time on their hands. The man hours in editing this thing together would be incredible.
Here It Goes Again – OK GO
Finally, this next clip is red hot on the “viral movie” scene right now. It’s the clip for the song “Here It Goes Again” by the band “OK GO”. Talk about an amazing one-take treadmill spectacle!
