Just returned this morning from a quick work trip up north to Whitehorse in the Yukon. There wasn’t a whole lot of time to get out and do any sightseeing despite the almost 24 hour supply of daylight, but I did manage to get down to the “Midnight Sun Gallery” to peruse through, and actually purchase some artwork that caught my eye when Ryan and I were up there back in February.
The print I bought is called “Spirit Island” and it’s by an amazingly talented Montreal-born artist named Nathalie Parenteau who now lives and works out of Whitehorse.
Her art, which consists of flowing images blending the people of the North with the beautiful animals that also inhabit this part of the country are totally unique, and I can see myself purchasing a few more of her prints in the future to create my own personal series.
