It should be pretty obvious to everyone around me by now, that I have quite the love of music, concerts, and generally just finding new artists that I can both play to death, and also recommend to my fellow music loving friends. For a long time, the mighty “Pandora” was my drug of choice when it came to online radio, and tools for discovering new artists.
Unfortunately, those serial pests – the RIAA, made it impossible (without some proxy/techy trickery) to use the Pandora service outside of the US. While I wait for the US Congress to hurry up and pass the bill or whatever is required to give Pandora the freedom to open their musical doors once again, I’ve turned to the popular last.fm website to get my fix.
In addition to providing a pretty slick online radio experience, last.fm also provides a swag of widget and feed options allowing me to share my listening trends with others. And as I sit here tapping out a number of Blog entries this afternoon, I have my iPod Touch connected to my last.fm account via a wireless Internet signal, resulting in lovely tunes reaching my ears.
