Congratulations Australia! In the lead up to our national day today, also known as “Hottest 100 Day”, over 1.5 million of us answered the call to note our favourite tunes from the past 12 months, on the Triple J website.

For the record, the lads over at thewarmest100.com who cleverly publish a predicted “Top 100″ list a week or so early by tallying 35,081 votes from 3,602 (roughly 2.7% of the total vote) entries shared across social media sites did pretty good this year. They nailed positions 1 through 3 and pretty reliably predicted the top 10 (see below).
