Miss Universe 2005

Well the curtain has fallen on yet another fantastic spectacle that is the 'Miss Universe 2005' pageant. There's no secret about my admiration of last year's winner - Australian Jennifer Hawkins, and it seems that I'm a bit of a lucky charm with Miss Canada taking out this year's crown.

I have to admit that my favourite from the opening sequence was Miss Mexico but I honestly thought that Miss Dominican Republic was going to take it from the evening gown section onwards. They both got pipped at the final post, but hey... I'm happy that everyone around here was happy with the final winner!

Ryan and Corrie have never actually sat and watched a 'Miss Universe' from start to finish and I think they were both kinda skeptical about the whole thing. But they were both stoked at the end of it... glad I chained them to the couch and made them watch now!
