At short notice (thanks Ry, sorry Jen) I was fortunate to spend the best part of this weekend up at Whistler with Ry, Corrie, Cass, Tracey and Brian. Obviously I prefer clear blue skies that stretch on forever when I'm on the slopes, but mother nature dished up a rather brutal "white out" day to test our resolve yesterday. As it panned out, I spent the best part of the day boarding Blackcomb's "7th Heaven" on my own which obviously isn't as much fun but proved satisfying anyway. For some reason the cloud wasn't as thick through the wooded areas (trees) so I spent a good part of the day shooting through these areas only wrapping myself around a trunk or two on a couple of occasions haha.
We had a good old apres ski session at the Garibaldi Lift Co. Bar & Grill before heading back to our spacious resort room to cook up some tasty chicken kebabs, polish off a few chilled beers and have a good laugh. Around 10pm we decided a hot tub visit was on the cards and we managed to squeeze in a good 40 minutes of soaking in the outdoor tub before we were kicked out and were forced to retreat to our room to watch a great episode of SNL.
Anyway, the main purpose of this entry is to share with you an ad that Brian, Ry and I were discussing at one point last night. Proving to be a visually stunning advertisment for their "Bravia" LCD TV, SONY released a stack of those rubber bouncy balls (that you used to be able to get in those gum machine capsules) down the famed steep streets of San Francisco. The colour is stunning and the cinematography... amazing!
Evidently Ry arrived home and got stuck into his blogging before I got the chance to which means he's stolen my thunder on this one. But... I will point you in the direction of the official Bravia website so that you can view the full size, full version ad, a series of behind-the-scenes vids, and some great still images taken during filming.
Keep your eye out for the frog during the ad... LOVE IT!

You think the ad is good, get down to your local Sony Centre and see the TV's in person - simply amazing!! If only I watched enough of the 'idiot box' to justify it.
i love this ad too!
