Out with Dane And Jessica

What a great night out I had last night. My part-time mate (only cause I don't get to see him all that often) Jeff came through with the goods yet again and flung a ticket my way to a private sneak-peak screening of Dane Cook's upcoming HBO special "Vicious Circle" which airs at 9pm on September 4th. I'm so glad I got to see it beforehand as I will be 5 hours into a flight home to Brisbane when it's on!

By 9pm last night, I found myself almost wetting my pants in painful fits of laughter just seats away from THE MAN himself and one Miss Jessica Alba who is shooting a film with Dane in Vancouver right now called "Good Luck Chuck".

For those who aren't in the know, Dane Cook is likely to be one of the hottest names thrown around in the next few years. "Vicious Circle" is a recording of a show that he did in Boston "in the round" to 18,000 fans. He has recently made the move into movies where he has become seriously hot property having shot the films "Employee of the Month" (with ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson), "Mr Brooks" (with Kevin Costner and Demi Moore) and is about to launch into filming "Dan in Real Life" with "40-Year-Old Virgin" funnyman Steve Carell. In short, in case you hadn't heard, he's kind of a "big deal" around here...

Anyway, also along for the ride was another of Jeff's mates Trevor, who just happens to be the owner/manager of "Urban Well", a great club over at Kits Beach which has a comedy showcase night every Tuesday night. So after the performance, we headed back to the club where Trevor "looked after" us all for the night and things went downhill fast from there! Ha, ha!
