5 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

I knew I would get tagged at some stage! Haha!

One of the crazes going around on the Blogosphere right now is the "5 Things You Didn't Know About Me" post. I have no idea where or who started it up, but just like one of those God awful chain letter things you get in your email from easily mislead friends, it'll find you in the end.

My invitation comes from Jeremy Latham, an industry mate of Jordan's who I met at a recent Web companies pre-release party. Actually Jordan was the one who tagged him in the first place. I found Jeremy's revelations to be of lot's of interest and I just hope I can provide equally inspiring ditties about myself. I've always been a pretty open book so I don't know if I'm going to be able to drag up anything surprising, but here goes:

1.

This one's lame, but it's worth mentioning cause when people find out they look at me like I have a second head - I don't drink tea or coffee. Don't know why. Simply doesn't appeal. I'll have the odd cup of coffee every now and then just to be social, but it's not like it's a vice of mine like it seems to be for everyone else on the planet.

2.

I was once an extra in a movie with Rob Lowe and Thomas Haden Church. I can't remember what the hell the movie was called, but we filmed late one night at the San Pedro Hilton in California. Something tells me my frames are lying on a cutting room floor somewhere...

3.
Me playing the role of Seymour in the Little Shop of Horrors

Contrary to recent popular belief, I actually used to be able to sing and hold a note or two. Back in the day, I did a couple of years at high school where I held the lead in the musical productions. One year I played "Bill" in an Aussie classic "The Sentimental Bloke" and the following year I played "Seymour" in the ridiculously fun "Little Shop Of Horrors". Good times!

4.

I've never received any training in anything computer or design related. I taught myself the basics of HTML in order to throw a web page together for the Advertising Club back in my first year of Uni in 1996 and have pretty much gone from there.

5.

I spread Vegemite all over my Bananas before consuming them. Looks terrible... tastes amazing!

And with that, I pass the batton to another five of my Blogging buddies. If you see your name below, you have officially been "tagged" - give up some info on yourselves:

Right... I'm off to eat a banana "my way"!

I so knew you could sing! I attended one of those musicals!

Meanwhile, Vegemite on a banana? You are one sick individual.

I would struggle for five things about myself - I don't know the meaning of secret! and that's no secret either!

Just great! Now I have to think of 5 things to bang on about! If it's quirky stuff you're after, I'll have a bit of trub whittling it down to just 5. If it's genuinely interesting stuff you want, I'll have trouble just getting past #1. Stay tuned I guess.

You stole my first one too... baffles me why people line up to hand over hard earned money for cups of hot dirty water. Ewwww!

Interesting. Thought I might learn something new here but no surprises amongst that lot. By the way, vegemite and banana is really very nice.

Moo, being a non tea and coffee drinker is in your genes. There are a few of us in this crazy family of ours who don't enjoy drinking that horrible tasting stuff, me included. Hasn't done me any harm for the 50 something years I've been around. Can't wait to see what 5 things you come up with. XX

Great list. I never would have suspected you were the off-Broadway type!
