You Spoke, I Listened

December 14, 2006 | 5,264 views | Trackback | |

It's now been a couple of days since I launched my new Blog design and I'd like to thank everyone for your kind and helpful feedback. Although most of you emailed me instead of doing the more helpful thing of leaving a comment at the bottom of my original thread (thus keeping everything together), I thank one and all for your comments.

As a result, you may have noticed the following changes overnight:

  • Mum, there's now a "New Comments" module in the bottom section that lists the latest posts that have received a comment and the name of who left the comment.
  • Shea, I'm glad you drew my attention to the fact that the dates of each post were kind of hard to find/see. I think you'll find the dates I have now stylishly built in will do the trick just nicely. I actually had full intentions of building this before launch but never got to it. So thanks!
  • I have restructured and reformatted both the "Contact" and "Archives/Stats" pages for better clarity. Thanks goes out to John Wyles, the mastermind behind the script I have utilised on the "Contact" page.

If there's anything else I've missed, please let me know!

I have added a comment to the original Masey Design post, and now I have one more query.

When you're looking at a post's own url/page, it should automatically default to displaying the existing comments, and not make you click again to see them.

When you enter a comment, the page that loads afterward should display it, not require an additional click. That's how I feel, anyway.

If this doesn't make sense, blame the wine, not the author.

    Cheers,

    J
