Distant Thunder

One of the things I absolutely miss while living in Vancouver is the storms we get back here in Brisbane throughout the Summer/Autumn. They're nothing short of spectacular whether they are in your own backyard, or 40km off the coast. And if you're lucky enough to have a camera handy, there's a chance you're going to be able to snap a few frames that captures the beauty of this force of nature.
The images I captured tonight aren't anything special, but they give you an idea of the light show that we all enjoyed on the back porch after dinner tonight. These shots in particular I shot using a 5 second exposure setting.
Only 4 days now till I head back to Vancouver - can't believe how the time has flown by!

Yet again, another beautiful set of shots Mase. Hope your trip back home has been excellent, though quick. xo
Gorgeous pics Rob!

I'd love to get you up to Bundy when there's a storm rolling in. Bundy is flat as a pancake, and makes for the most spectacular light show. You know those Gangajang (sp?) lyrics:
"out on the patio
we sit
we watch the lightening
crack over cane fields..."
- sums Bundy storms up pretty well.
