It's generally excepted in the Web community these days that Mozilla's "FIREFOX" web browser is the best alternative to Microsoft's bland, boring and questionably-secure "Internet Explorer (IE)". The feauture I like the most about Firefox is the ability to add functionality to the browser through the installation of "extensions". Listed below are ten (in no particular order) of my absolute MUST HAVE extensions that are quick and easy to install and will give you endless amounts of pleasure that IE users cannot and will not ever experience! To ensure maximum extension compatibilty, make sure you are running the most current release of Firefox by downloading the latest v2 release from Mozilla. Click on the banner to the right (you can't miss it) or visit www.getfirefox.com. NOTE WELL: It is advised that you keep your installed extension list to about 3-4 add-ons only as they do consume your PC's memory allocation and therefore slows down Firefox's performance slightly. |

Colourful TabsTabs are fantastic... coloured tabs are even better! Not only are they pretty, but they also make it a hell of a lot easier to differentiate between each of your tabs! |

Forecastfox Enhanced This is a great little extension that will have you on top of the weather conditions in any number of cities you want to keep your eye on around the world. Highly configurable, you can set the number of days you want forecasted per city, how each forecast is presented (icons and text etc) and where in your browser you want the extension to appear. Definitely a must-have! |
4. |
Google Preview Easily one of the most valuable extensions I have installed. It's simple. It's adds a small graphical preveiw to all of the listed results when you perform a Google search. This gives you the ability to "see" the quality of a site before you click through to it. This one's GOLD! |

Fox Clocks Simply put the "Fox Clocks" extension adds nominated city times into your status bar so you can check to make sure you're not going to wake up someone in the middle of the night when you make those phone calls to the other side of the world! |

The "classic" Firefox plugin for the hugely popular
Contrary to popular belief, Google isn't the ONLY search engine out there and Firefox does give you the power to search using a whole host of other engines with a couple of extra clicks. Search for images on Flickr, reference information on Wikipedia or for products on Amazon or Ebay.
Perhaps the easiest way add new feeds to your
